i agree i had a v6 sonata as a rental a while back and it was much better than i ever thought a hyundai could be!

at the same time, i think 'initial quality' is kinda bs.. its the longer term 'mechanical dependability' survey from JD power that i'd listen to the most...

i guess it shouldn't come as a surprise that hyundai is coming on strong.. japanese car makers were perceived like hyundai was a few yr ago
