You could always tuck the laptop away somewhere and run a touch screen of it. Say something like this: http://www.mp3car.com/store/product_info.p...products_id=136
Then you'd have the small size of a portable GPS but also all the extra functions of the laptop. Personally if i was gonna get GPS for the car this would be the route i would go.
