I made lots of mistakes when I was young. And I continue to make mistakes. But I look at my mistakes as exactly that. A mistake I made. Learn from it and move on.
Not bitch about it on a car forum about a company that made no mistake at all. You were the cause of your error and your cost. But you don't seem to be able to see that. Pay for your mistake, learn from it and move on. But quit whining about Ford when they had nothing to do with your issue.
In fact, I had the same type of problem with Terrace about 10 years ago with my Thunderbird. But as I signed the paper, I also noted on the paper in writing that there was a box to check off if you wanted a call first and a box to have all the used parts returned. I always do that. So when they didn't call me, replaced my front brakes and rotors and gave me the bill for $800, I said F>U>. They too insisted I pay for the repair. But I had even more for them. I brought my friends girlfriend with me at the time, a lawyer, and she proceeded to run up one side and down the other of the service manager because less than 2000km before I had had the brakes done and I still had the receipt.
So what did I learn? Read everything before you sign your life (or your car) away.
