Seriously who modifies thier car for street racing?!?

I am all for this new law and crack down but does anyone else feel that this exposure has taken away from more serious problems like gun violence and what not? seems we aren't talking about that anymore....well until someone else gets shot.

Since 1999, 35 people have been killed by street racing in the Greater Toronto area alone.

last year in Toronto alone there was 52 gun related homicides and another 27 the year before.

which is the bigger problem?
