I never really understand people's absolute distrust of cops.

Maybe it's because I'm a white bread middle class guy.. I dunno.

I remember a time in grade school when we had a cop do a little presentation, and we were told that we weren't allowed to refer to them as cops because it was disrespectful.

instead, call them police officers.

nowadays... nobody respects the cops.. and since we're not allowed to carry concealed, I'm gonna want them on my side.
