Come July 1st, Gst Will Drop, But Will Prices?

Yup... just like Harper's cash-for-daycare incentive. It's enough for maybe 2 days even in places like North Bay (100/month is what's given) per kid 6 and under. Those working outside the scope of school hours requiring supervision are still stung with no relief in sight (for kids aged 7 and older). Also, families with kids 7 and older have higher bills due to the child's activities - sports, etc. Not many toddlers play rep hockey or all-star baseball.

But ask any poverty-level family what they think about it and they'll say it's the greatest thing since baby bonus. Handouts are always great to those folks, regardless of the amount.

Whoops, that'll step in it quite nicely.

What I mean is... survey a LOT of families on assistance, or working with partial assistance. How many have computers, Internet feeds and either cable TV or satellite. HOW THE HELL DO YOU RATIONALIZE THAT?

I know working-class families are looking for help, and all families need to be treated equally... but this isn't the way to do it.
