Given that Ford sees fit to mount the sub on the side of the trunk near the folding seatback, I would that would be the best compromise unless you were planning on yanking out the spare tire and using that area as a sub enclosure space.
Anything else and you're chewing up useful trunk space, unless you have another vehicle as your "grocery getter"
