Okay, so what am I missing here ... based on this paragraph it seems to me that taxpayers subsidize HNIC to the tune of $35 million per year.
Or was this simply bad writing and he really meant to say that the network generates an advertising profit of $30 million - in which case yeah this will be a huge loss for the CBC.
If not, and we really are paying tax money for HNIC, I say good riddance.
