Bad bearings in the alternator usually won't cause a dip in output voltage to make your light come on, unless it was seized or seizing. It would just make noise.
Had the battery light come on the other day while pulling away from a light. It went out after about 3 seconds or so. But what I also noticed lately is the car is making a "whine" sound when I accelerate. I't not related to the stereo, I checked all that already,
I'm thinking the bearings in my alternatertor have gone for a crap.
Is this possible?
