strut bars don't do much, if anything, if they don't triangulate back to a hard point (ie, firewall).
What good is tying together two points that you think need the support because they flex?
If you want your car to handle better, it may be prudent to just save up money for some better tires... as it stands, strut bars on the focus are just weight adders.
