yup.. totally agree with chica... I've tried many things, and honestly, a balanced diet gives you the most energy... protein supplementing is alright for heavy training, but whey can also do a number on your intestines.
I gave myself IBS when I was about your age trying to load up on whey...
I'll still do the occasional protein shake, but probably no more than 2 servings a day max... and that was about this time last year when I saw my strengths increase nearly 40%...
I'll spend maybe 6 hours weightraining a week, and 3-5 hours doing sports I like like biking or volleyball....nothig insanely strenuous.. I try to weight train in the morning, because it doesn't hurt as much as cardio in the morning for me.
Right now, because of my retarded schedule, I may not work out for a week or two.. but the diet will make up for it. I'm not going to kill myself this time to reach a goal.. I'm finding it too easy to just moderate myself.
