I too am a Diabetic (Type 2) and have to be diligent about what I eat and where my sugar levels are.
I used to blow it off until I passed out about a year ago. Nothing serious. But it was a real wakeup call.
Take care of yourself. This disease took my Uncle when he was just 47.
