I'm going to run it by the dealer this afternoon, but I just noticed it doing it this morning.
Under light or medium throttle from a dead stop, I hear a "trickle" of liquid behind the dash until about from 17-1800 until 22-2300 RPM. After that, all the way up 1st and then through 2nd/3rd/4th there's nothing. It's almost as if coolant is being brought up to the heater core or something, but I think the heater core is on the passenger side... is it not?
I eyeballed the coolant tank this morning when I got to work, but the car was warm and all seemed normal. It doesn't help that the rain has been steady here for 3 days now so watching for a leak is impossible.
Have any other Duratec owners noticed this noise at all? It was faintly audible at low volume - I had to turn the stereo off just to really hear it.
Also, it doesn't do it in Park or Neutral that I can hear. Not sure about Reverse yet. I'll also do a start or two with the heater off... I had it on this morning. Also, I'll fit in a run with the heat selector all the way to Cold.
