I usually don't carry a balance on my credit cards, but I do have a line of credit.
Not all cedit is bad. Credit cards, generally are bad, but if you have a reasonable amount of self-restraint, a sizeable line of credit can be good thing, because it saves you the hassle of visiting a bank to get a loan for unforseen circumstances.
The important thing is balance.
