I've never heard of a second shield or how to remove it. I was wondering if there was something going on with these lights cause they really aren't all that bright. I was considering getting some new bulbs or swapping out the ballast with another set I have laying around. I'll have to track down some how to's for this.

Isn't the shield supposed to be there, and it moves when you turn the highbeams on? I thought it went something like that.. I've never had the guts to mess around with my HIDs since I can't afford to break them..:P

As far as I know, that second shield was to eliminate the glare produced from the chrome housing.
