Oakville, Ontario - Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Canada has launched Campaign 911, a Canada-wide initiative designed to encourage the Canadian public to call 911 to report suspected impaired drivers.

"We can all make a difference in saving lives and preventing impaired driving crashes if we call 911 and report to police when we see a suspected impaired driver," says Karen Dunham, MADD Canada National President. "We have many Canadians contact MADD and ask, 'How can I help?' Well, calling 911 is one tangible and effective way Canadians can help the police in apprehending an impaired driver."

As part of its campaign, MADD Canada released billboards and bus shelter posters, a radio public service announcement, and a grassroots action plan for more than 100 MADD organizations across Canada.

When observing a potential impaired driver, the public should call 911, state the location, give a vehicle description with license plate, colour and make and model of vehicle, direction of vehicle travel, and description of driver.

I was the only member on this board with a Yellow Focus Sedan, and a 2002+ Euro Facelift on a sedan.
