i tried to do some interweb searching to learn more about filtration rates of different air filters but i came up empty.

i've been really nervous to deviate from OEM for any kind of filteration (air, fuel, oil) device for fear the the aftermarket replacement isn't built to the same spec (ie it filters out less gunk than the OE part)

where'd you get the tech that the K&N filters as well as OE?

K&N website. I know, it could be propaganda, but three cars, over 200,000 kms, no air intake related problems.
