Got the cat and stock header out. Its seriously not hard. Its just the bloody bolts I had a hard time with. Tourqed on so dam TIGHT!!!
Alrigth from the start.
The four bolt hold in the heat sheild seemed easy enough. Actualy taking out the sheild was a pain. Just have to keep moving it back and forth a few times till it finally came out.
I then started on the bolts connecting the header to the cat. The first two came out easy then WTF the last one was stripped???? This was a bitch and a 1/2. So about 30min later I got it. I then had problems loosening the bolt on the EGR. Jacked the car to dam high LOL Finally got that. Disconected the o2 sensors from their harness and took out the bolts holding the cat to the stock flex. LOL Im lucky my dad has some some pretty sweet tools. Those bolts holding in the header are in akward areas. Any way tommorow I will take off the 2 bolts holding in the flex to the exhaust then Im on my way to putting it back together.
Here are some pictures. Sorry I didnt get as many I I wish i would of gotten but it was hard since I was doing this myself and using my self phone for the pics.
Picture of the 1st o2 sensor harness. I will have to splice and extend the harness so the sensor can reach down to where the sensor is located on the race header.
The ugly stock header. YUCK!!!
