I've never had that with either car (past or present). Heck, I was technically out on my front driver's tire and at 100 it was an audible thrum but nothing through the wheel.
Start with the S.A. If you get nowhere, tell them that any amount of vibration is inacceptable and that you want it fixed. Failing that, talk to the service manager. Failing that, talk to the dealership general manager and then the owner. Make noise.
A properly set-up Focus will ride and drive as smooth as anything else on the road and oftentimes a lot better than many other cars. I was at over 11,000 on the weekend (tires rotated once already) and at uhm... faster than posted I was rock-solid for quite some time. That's a downfall of the car to be sure... lots of stability at speed :D
