Not sure where the Silverstars fit into this, but I was shown a car the other night with them... they might be JUST halogen, but I'm buying a set after Christmas.
As for HIDs... why not pay the cash to do it right? You wouldn't do a half-ass turbo or N/A setup would you? Why skimp on something as important as the headlights?
