another thing to consider is that there are now many cars for sale that have those same power levels for a reasonable price. in '00 a 210whp turbo focus would be incredible.. there wasn't anything with that kind of performance except maybe super expensive stuff... but these days there are a lot of compact cars with 210whp in stock form, full warranty, factory reliability, and potential for even more power.. is it worth it to go after market?
also, for the price of that turbo kit, tuning, clutch/lsd and other supporting mods, you could also purchase your choice of 600cc race replica motorcycle.. 210whp is quick, but it has no chance against a bike.. that could be another way to get your speed fix....

He has a fairly new car, if he were to sell it the hit he would take would be monstrous. In his situation its better to boost the car if hes looking for power.
