The '08's do offer one or two things that might sway you into spending a bit of coin:
1) The '08 SAP is drool inducing on the Fusion, but the hassle is that you cannot get SAP & AWD together :(
2) The SYNC system, say what you will about a M$ developed product, but after working with it for nearly a month now, you will pry it out of my cold dead hands :D
