I was fleeced by the dealership.
I recently replaced my front rotors and pads with an hour of my labour and inexpensive parts thanks to Ken.
I also had what I thought was an innocent tiny brake fluid leak from one of my rear drums. Not having much experience with drum brake repair or a big enough socket to take off that huge nut to see inside the drum, I decided to take it to the dealer to repair.
$1400!!!!! Ouch :o
The wheel cylinder was leaking, fouling the the drum and pads. They ended maching the rotors, replacing the pads, wheel cylinders, wheel bearings, and parking brake cable.
Had I known about about this deal it would have been cheaper to get this rear disk setup than to fix my drums. :(
