I believe the lockup in 4th for the Focus (the only gear you'll lock-up in if memory serves) is what, 65 KM/H? Engine RPMs @ 80 KM/H are around 2000? That's why you got the fuel economy that you did... that's the sweet spot (as unrealistic as it is) for the Focus - revs at or under 2000 for sustained cruising. Even at 90 KM/H, you're hardly hitting 2100 RPMs... still great for gas mileage.
