I miss the days when real cars of all brands were of their own design. Yes, I know I'm driving an Escape/Mariner/MKX/Tribute. It was convenient and fits my needs. I would gladly have taken something else worthwhile that was useful, practical and a unique design all its own.

Same powertrain, same suspension (different tuning), same shell, different bodywork and interior. The MKX is just a duded-up Escape. It's no more a Lincoln than the Mark LT was a Lincoln. It's a trimline for Ford, nothing more.
