Need Advise On Traffic Tickets
#5
ZTWsquared,Dec 15 2008, 06:42 PM Wrote:EDIT: if for some reason you don't talk to the cop or can't talk to the crown attorney and you end up in front of the judge ... whatever you do, don't admit to anything and simply ask for a remand (come back at a later date) -- being your first time up the judge will always say yes -- and if he asks why simply state that you don't have a lawyer yet. That will give you a few months breathing space and time to get things together.

forgot that part, they will give you more time to get ready for sure. Them giving you disclosure (if you ask for it) probably takes longer than the 15 days you have to respond to the tickets...

Oh, and dress nice, I went in a suit :)
