Sounds like an odd situation....

Either way... if the guy is innocent, he shouldn't have to worry about it. File a complaint, take them to court -- and if he has a clean driving record, and they have no evidence against him, I'm sure he'll win and could likely pursue compensation.

yes, it sucks, but you gotta hope the system can work -- I hope he's saught legal counsel to see what his options are. If he's not at fault, and is certain of it beyond posting his side of the story on the web, then he's got nothing to fear.
