I drive my stang in the winter... and with winter tires, it goes up more hills than many of the AWD SUVs equipped with all seasons.
and the only downside is that I have an open diff -- which sometimes requires the ol' parking brake to get out of deep snow, but that's about it.
And with heated seats, it's actually rather enjoyable in the winter.
