Duck Canuck joins the fray

Well, it was one of those things that grew on me over time. I used to think they were just weird and ugly. Then I dug into the engineering, and got fascinated.

My inlaws live in France, so there was a bit of a connection there.

I tried to find a 2CV in France, via phone, mail, internet etc, but then I discovered this car sitting in Montreal. It wound up being a one-owner car, recently imported to Canada at the time. Rust-free, and original. It just needed a bunch of mechanical TLC, all of which was a good learning experience. I have owned it for about 10 years now, and I have put a little over 30,000 km on her. More smiles to the gallon than anything else I have ever owned.

Amazingly, it will cruise happily at 100-110 km/h, with only 602cc (about 30 hp).

Thanks for your interest.
