With the little bits there, can you check if they are metalic? Are they aluminum or steel? What you should do is pull off the oil pan, if there are fillings in the VC then odds are there are some in the oil pan. If the oil pan is clean then I don't think there is cause for too much concern. You've done a comp test that showed steady results.
As I said oil out of the VC is probably too much pressure in the crank case, you should really plumb it to a catch can and back to the intake manifold, this will releave pressure on the bottom so it is not forcing out of the top. Plus a catch can off of the VC, keeping it higher than the VC itself so you don't get a syphoning effect.
Pulling the head may be overkill IMHO
