Yeah, when I called the dealership I bought my car from to inquire about mods they told me that the only way a mod will void warranty is if it is determined that the mod caused the problems you are having. If it was OE equipment, should be covered as Ken mentioned. All I can say is fight hard, even though it's a pain in the ass if you do your research and have people on your side like the Ontario Insurance Ombudsman or CAMVAP.. your chances will be a lot better.
