For $1000CAD, your horsepower-per-dollar figure cant really be beaten. And like you said, you're not looking to make your car an all-out track monster.. so it doesnt really matter that the other kits can put out more horsepower. Paying twice as much for something that you arent really going to use isnt a great idea.
I'd love a JRSC, especially for that cheap. Reliability is really important if you're not overly mechanically inclined, or dont have a lot of money to upgrade/replace other parts you might break with a high-HP FI solution.
It really comes down to building the car for the way you're going to want to drive it, not just chasing the biggest numbers on a dyno slip.
