First off, any mod, especially ANY forced induction will void your warranty. Sometimes you'll get a dealer who will offer a warranty, but if your car ever breaks down, and you tow it to another dealer or something, your warranty will be void. The only way a dealer can warranty something like that is by lying to Ford.
I find the JRSC pretty weak, but it's nice in a set it and forget it, kinda way. That being said, people at high altitudes can't use it. The tuning is fairly crude, and doesn't adjust well to atmospheric conditions.
If I wanted that kind of power, I'd just go NA.
The Vortec, seems fine I guess, if you like that power delivery. Not a big fan of the layshaft design, but so far so good.
As for turbo... Some of you people really bash their reliability when you don't know anything about them.
I haven't had ANY breakages on the car, ever, related to the turbo.
I built this setup myself, hell, I learned to weld while doing it! It's held together fine for over a year, using the car ON TRACK. I also learned to tune, while tuning this engine.
I still have stock clutch, and it's holidng 220 ft-lbs just fine.
The people who have problems... sorry, it's because they're morons.
You can build a real nice turbo setup using a brand new turbo, and quality components, for $2000. Plus tuning of course.
