I drove a SES with the DSG (and I'll keep calling it that until people stop calling it an "automatic". Autos have torque converters. Sheesh.) and it was peppy. 6-speeds in that car would make intake / exhaust / tune / suspension worthwhile, along with real tires. The ST with the same upgrades would actually be in Focus ST territory at least for cornering and handling.
Also, I'm 6'3", 195lbs, and I fit just fine in the Fiesta with room to spare. The front seat was nowhere near all the way back, either.
