IMRC is also a SPI thing. It had a solenoid that actuates tumble flaps that alternate intake manifold airflow between short and long runners, depending on engine RPMs.
Try getting a Zetec ECU from a used parts dealer. Double points if you can find an identical ECU code to the one you already have. I believe there was about 15 distinct Zetec ECU codes in all, maybe 20 tops.
You should be able to bolt it all in.
