Current WRC Update:
Carlos Sainz may retire from the WRC at the end of the 2004 season and Citroen is just one of many teams eyeing current Ford driver Markko Martin for 2005.
Along with the introduction of new SupeRally points system and other regulatory changes for 2005, there is word that former world champ Colin Mcrae may be done as well.
Also the status of Richard Burns is still unknown for a return next year after undergoing surgery to remove a tumor in his brain. His health is said to be very good at this time.
Ford is expected to have new engine changes for the WRC focus 04 for Rally Turkey. These changes are said to be related to issues with how the engine distributes power, rather than an issue with the power output of the enigne itself.
