at my previous job, I got a pay raise after working 3 months there, and I went from hourly to salary. Basically, Salary means I can call in sick and still get paid weekly the same paycheck, it DID have an hourly wage on it, but that was because the program to do payroll calculates it into a hourly rate to give you a check. I wasnt allowd to get overtime after my promotion, but I WAS allowd to bank my hours so once I reach 4 or 8 hours, I can take a half or full day off with pay.
