The reason we have the "liver soaking events" is because it's all we got. The majority of us are NOT here to discuss cars..... If a good car thread comes up, BONUS! (pass me a beer Jen?)
And I've actually seen people come out to our "Frat party beer bong toting sex extraviganzas" and not have anything to drink (Richard) You don't have to come to ALL the meets,(Can I finish that pitcher for us?) just make the effort to come to one.... You've done that, so your'e good till' next year. I'll start bugging you around January. ( Hey sweetie, another round please)Until then, just let us beer slamming, slimy chickin wing suckin' beer hounds do our thing and support the site the best way we know how.....on a SOCIAL LEVEL!
(My intentions were not to offend Adam. Just debate.) Peace.

Don't get me wrong - I LOVED the BBQ. Best car event I've attended - EVER. That was the epitome of a perfect car-themed day. We'd be back in a heartbeat.
I was using coloured prose based on Raine's "attack" on my ideas. Remember, everything I've suggested so far is just an idea or a thought, and I've been attacked. Consider that for a second.
I've never suggested anything to detract from the social functionality of the forum. If nothing else, everything I've suggested keeps it quite intact. All I'm asking is that those who regard this as a social-first gathering not impede others who are looking for a more focused (no pun intended) approach to the notion of an Internet-based car club. I would never do anything to attack any of your gatherings, nor those of anyone else.
Have I ever thread-crapped on a Friday G2G? No. Did I use strong language above when referring to them? Yes, because I was tired of being put on the defensive over my views of the club. Apparently others think this is some covert plot to "convert" Focus Canada. It's not. Why is that so hard to understand?
We all have different views and different uses for Focus Canada. I'm merely asking that those of us with different ideas and views be treated the same and given the same chance. As of right now, that's hardly the case.
If anyone really can't see that, they're quite, quite blind.
I love a good debate, but this is exactly the reason I was going to "step back", and not for my purported "excessive use" of Focus Canada, as alleged.
