Needing A Little Or Hid Help!
#9
the way i did it was i wired up the ford connector and the VAG connector, plugged the ford side into the car and the VAG side into the lights, left the turn signal and city light stuff wired into the VAG connector but not wired to the car's turn signals yet, and then tested the low beam, high beam..

i am pretty sure this is how i did it ... the colors of your wires may not match exactly.. but just keep in mind.. Pin 1 and 2 are for the headlights, Pin 3 and 4 are for the city lights and turnsignals.. pin 6 and 8 are grounds.. you MUST ground both of these for the headlights to work.. i just spliced both the wires into the ground going to the stock headlight wiring harness

really this shouldn't be too hard.. the headlights have 3 wires.. one is ground, one is for the low beam filament, one is for the high beam filament... just play around with pin 1 and 2 to get it right.. remember to have pin 6 and 8 grounded before you play around or else you won't get a light

then the turn signals also have 3 wires too.. one is ground, one is to keep them on when you turn the knob on the dash, one is to flash the blinkers when you move the stalk and hit the hazard button... (the middle wire going to the grille is the one that keeps them on when you turn the dash knob.. so that's the one you need to wire the city lights to, and the turnsignals if you want em to stay on) again.. remember to ground pins 6 and 8

just take it slow and easy man.. seriously. this is not rocket science..

driver side VAG connector

Pin 1 -> Green/Blue wire (this goes to the ford harness for the headlights)
Pin 2 -> Green/Orange wire (this goes to the ford harness for the headlights)
Pin 3 -> Blue w/Orange stripe wire (this goes to the turn signals in the grille)
Pin 4 -> Orange w/Blue stripe wire (this goes to the turn signals in the grille)
Pin 6 -> Black wire (This is the ground)
Pin 8 -> Black wire (This is the ground)

passenger side VAG connector

Pin 1 -> Green/Orange wire (this goes to the ford harness for the headlights)
Pin 2 -> Green/White wire (this goes to the ford harness for the headlights)
Pin 3 -> Blue wire (this goes to the turn signals in the grille)
Pin 4 -> Orange w/Green stripe wire (this goes to the turn signals in the grille)
Pin 6 -> Black wire (This is the ground)
Pin 8 -> Black wire (This is the ground)

*note.. your wire colors may be different
