You can use normal paint for the plastic pieces under the hood, it doesn't get hot enough to ruin the paint, unless it's the heatshield cover... Just make sure to use an adhesion promoter before. I know that many people use duplicolor spray paint, my paint was mixed at Carquest, I only said what I wanted to do with it and he gave me the right paint.
