I'm bad as a yo-yo workout guy, and I've been busting my butt especially over the last few weeks to get over that. I'll work out till I "feel" buffed up and toned, and then I stop for weeks / months till I feel flabby and worse than before. Then it starts again.
Lately I've been splitting up my workouts to different muscle groups, so one group isn't too sore to go at it again 2 days later. So far, it's working.
