there has been a notice posted at ford dealorships stateing that there is a problem with some focuses clutch wheel.....how it works is there are springs inside the wheel and there lose.. and thats where the ticking noise comes from....

WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING WARNING

IF THEY TRY AND TELL YOU THAT YOUR FLYWHEEL NEEDS TO BE MACHINED AND/OR YOURPRESURE PLATE HAS BURN MARKS ON THEM AND IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.......DONT LISTEN TO THEM....ITS JUST ANOTHER WAY TO MAKE A QUICK DOLLAR........

any burn marks on the presure plate is most likely from everyday driving and the only way your flywheel would need to be machined or replaced (depending on how bad it is ) is if it has been cracked........witch is pritty much inpossible unless your draging the car everyday......

so what ever you do (JAY aka thabrat) go and get that clutch wheel replaced A.S.A.P. so further problems dont ocure.....it only takes about a day to have it fixed.......

how i know about this, is that my father inlaw was a service manager for 17 years with many differant dealerships (including ford ) and is very knowledgable in this sort of stuff

we are making a complant to ford of canada and sending it in ....so if there is anyone out there that would like to tell there story and have it herd... then please let me know
