Steve, I think pretty much any all copper / copper pipe / aluminum fin cooler will work for you with either a 80mm high CFM fan or a bigger and lower rotational speed fan with the same CFM or better.
The Clawhammer is a 130nm part, running at a higher voltage. It's also an earlier revision so it doesn't have the latest design advances in the chip architecture... thus leading it to run hotter again.
I'd say you'd need to see how the actual airflow is in the case... with that many fans, your ambient (best judged by your HDD temperature minus 5-6C at idle) temperature should be aiding the heatsink to the point that this isn't an issue, even with a CG-stepping 130nm FX-55.
Otherwise, post up what CPU-Z reports your model and revision as.
