Actually, I disagree. It's because 95% of the world is stupid and will buy whatever trendy advisers say they need.

It's all trends. If someone started the "cool to be smaller" trend, they'd never catch up.
So I guess I partially agree, but instead of starting the next trend, they're happy to keep people shelling out the bucks for things they don't need.
