depends what area you are going into, I am a general mechanic, and I do some transmission stuff too.
specialized tools I have are coolant pressure tester, brake caliper tool(a must for ford mechanics on rear calipers on some ford vehicles like taurus/sable/continental), brake line flair tool, fuel filter fitting tool. torque wrenches are good...I only trust snap on for this, I have the 1/2 inch drive and trhe 3/4 in drive....and the list goes on, but as far as specialized tools, these are the most needed for me.
