Thanks to Americans we have a successful economy in this country. If we didn't ahve open borders we'd be screwed.
You really should learn a little before you start talking econmics with an economics major.
We depend on them. They don't depend on us so much. If they closed their borders we would be begging for forgiveness and giving in to their every need.

I didn't do bad in economics myself, thanks, but I elected to go into IT.

My opinions as they are don't supplant the obvious... we DO capitulate in terms of lax border security and immigration even in the face of them insulting us repeatedly.
