Y'know when this whole idea was first floated (pardon the pun) I was left wondering: Why? What purpose would a ferry between Toronto and Rochester serve?
There is, as far as I know, no major tourist attractions in Rochester, meaning that the only possible benefits would be seen by the city of Toronto, but even then they would be on such a small scale as to be nothing more than a pimple on Toronto's economy.
Unlike the maniacs running the city of Toronto, Rochester officals at least knew when to throw in the towel, if it were up to the money suckers in Toronto, the ferry would be running for years to come, hemmoraging money all in the name of promoting Toronto's "image"
