Toronto -> Rochester Ferry Finished For Good
#9
I took that ferry on the way to New York City by car. I would say it was an enjoyable trip. The amenities on the boat were fabulous (food, theatre, TV, drinks, dutyfree shop.) You can actually stand outside on the stern deck if you can manage the wind. That boat is fast (45-55 knots.) It is surprising how fast suck a big boat can go. (It was longer than a football field and about 70 feet wide)

The trip took about 2 hours and it saved a heck of lot of time waiting in line to cross at customs. It also meant I spent 2 hours relaxing rather the > 3 hrs driving to get to Rochester on a long drive to NYC.

I would have gone on it again if it were still in service.
