The thing is that the people who are successful doing the things they love doing are the ones that are able to commercialize it the best.
'selling out' is just a term the jealous use to try to mitigate their own failures.
ok, maybe not THAT severe... but to a degree, you get my point. You either move forward or someone else will..
Unless your sport has some sort of altruistic greater good we're not aware of, I honestly don't see how you would have a moral objection against doing this. You get out, you start making a name for yourself, you build a resume that you leverage towards your own goals... and you make some good money.
