It's still illegal to drive with the front plate in the window.

When I was pulled over for some idiotic reason (you fit the description of a burglary suspect) the cop asked me if the tint was legal, took out his flashlight and did some bulls*** look-through, and sent me on my way.
My understanding is if the cop can't see the driver, he has the right to pull you over.
Old enough to know me limit, yet young enough to exceed it.
